Meet the Palatine Vision Center Team!


Morris S. Lehrfeld, O.D.

Dr. Lehrfeld has been with Palatine Vision Center since 1991.  He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and earned his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Dr. Lehrfeld practices primary care optometry, and enjoys fitting of all types of contact lenses including hard to fit contact lenses. Dr. Lehrfeld is certified to fit MiSight contact lenses for myopia control. He is certified in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, eye infections, and Dry Eye.  He also co-manages patients with laser vision correction and Cataract surgery. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, AOA Contact Lens Section, Illinois Optometric Association, and the Chicago North Side Optometric Society.

Dr. Lehrfeld and his wife, Jodi, have 2 children, Joshua and Lindsey.  Dr. Lehrfeld enjoys playing golf, running and biking when not in the office.

 


Laura M. Rosanova-Philipp, O.D.

Dr. Rosanova-Philipp joined our practice in 2002.  She was born and raised in Palatine, attending Fremd High School.  Dr. Rosanova-Philipp is a graduate of Marquette University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree.  She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.

Dr. Rosanova-Philipp practices primary eye care and enjoys working with patients of all ages.  She is certified in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases including glaucoma and eye infections and specializes in contact lenses, Dry Eye, and allergies. Dr. Rosanova-Philipp is certified to fit MiSight contact lenses for myopia control. She also co-manages patients having cataract surgery and Laser Vision Correction.

She is a member of American and Illinois Optometric Associations, the AOA Contact Lens Section, and the Chicago Northside Optometric Society.  Dr. Rosanova-Philipp lives in Palatine with her husband, Greg, and sons James and Luke.  She enjoys spending time with her family, vacationing anywhere warm and participating in the Marquette University Mentor Program.


Katherine Lenz, O.D.

Dr. Katherine Lenz joined our practice in 2019. She grew up in the Palatine area and is a graduate of Fremd High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Elmhurst College. From there, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry, graduating with clinical honors.

Dr. Lenz practices comprehensive optometry and enjoys educating her patients on eye health and disease prevention. She is certified to manage and treat a wide range of diseases which include dry eye, glaucoma, eye infections, and allergies. She also fits a wide variety of contact lenses, including multifocal and gas-permeable lenses. Dr. Lenz is certified to fit MiSight contact lenses for myopia control. Her passion is pediatrics, which includes the management and treatment of amblyopia, as well as myopia control.

She is currently an adjunct faculty member at Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Lenz is a member of the American Optometric association and the Illinois Optometric Association. In 2017, she was the recipient of the prestigious Young Alumni of the Year Award at Elmhurst College. This award is for alumni who demonstrate outstanding achievement in community service and career accomplishments.

During her free time, Dr. Lenz loves to cook, spend time outdoors, cheer on Chicago sports teams, and be a mom! She lives Barrington with her husband, Jeff, and daughters, Emelia and Eloise.


Dr. PetermanJesse Peterman, O.D

Dr. Peterman joined Palatine Vision Center in 2024. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology Honors from University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. He then received his Doctor of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Dr. Peterman practices full scope optometry, including diagnosis and management of ocular disease such as dry eye disease and glaucoma. He is experienced in fitting a wide variety of contact lenses, including multifocal lenses and gas permeable lenses. He is certified in methods of myopia control, including the fitting of MiSight and CRT lenses. Dr. Peterman enjoys getting to know his patients to be able to provide the most personalized recommendations for his patients visual and ocular health.

Dr. Peterman is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He has served as an Associate Professor at Illinois College of Optometry for several years.

Dr. Peterman lives in Hoffman Estates with his wife, Meredith, and twin boys, Nicholas and Andrew. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling.
